The weekend after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping period of the year, filled with Americans rushing to make holiday purchases. Small Business Saturday is the counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On Small Business Saturday, holiday shoppers are encouraged to patronize locally owned, independent, brick and mortar businesses rather than visiting big box retailers or making purchases via e-commerce.
The Palouse Writers Guild is looking for eight to twelve authors to participate by being available to sign books at Book People of Moscow from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 30th. There will be two authors per table.
Time slots available are:
- 10 AM to 12 PM Only 1 spot left!
12 PM to 2 PMAlready Full! 2 PM to 4 PMAlready Full!
If you are interested in participating in this event email Khaliela Wright at email@example.com NO LATER THAN October 15th. Include your preferred time slot(s) and table buddy preference. If you have not worked with the Palouse Writers Guild before, be sure to include a short bio, author photo, and links to social media sites in your email. Authors who want their books listed on the Palouse Writers Guild Bookstore page, need to register in the membership area, and let me know what address they registered under.
Please remember that all sales must go though Book People, which means your books must be listed in their inventory prior to the event. There will be no “at table” sales. If you are selected to participate, and your books are not already in the inventory, let me know and I can forward you the consignment agreement. All books should be at the store NO LATER THAN November 1, 2019. This allows time for cataloguing and to create and in-store display.
Also–because Small Business Saturday promotes local businesses, we ask that authors not direct customers to Amazon or other e-commerce sites. Promotional material directing fans to your social media sites is acceptable.
