Call for Authors

The Palouse Writers Guild is hosting its 4th Annual Books & Brews event on Saturday, June 17, 2023. At this free, family-friendly event, authors can meet with the public and autograph their books. The event will be held at the 1912 Center, in Moscow, Idaho and will run from 5 pm to 8 pm that evening. Our official vendor is BookPeople of Moscow and they will handle all sales. BookPeople staff will be on hand to meet with authors and scan their books into the inventory prior to the event.

You don’t want to miss out on this event! Last year, authors sold more books in just the first two hours of Books & Brews than BookPeople typically sells in an entire day at the store. Also, rather than the usual 60/40 split, BookPeople is offering an 80/20 split on consignment sales if authors provide their own books.

  • If you want to take advantage of the higher split & will provide your own books, indicate that on the application.
  • If you want to participate, but prefer to have BookPeople handle procurement, indicate that somewhere on the application, too. (Books must be widely available through BookPeople’s normal distributors.)

To be considered as a Book & Brews author, see the following application: Brews Application

Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2023. Authors selected for inclusion will be notified no later than April 15, 2023 and will be expected to provide a headshot for marketing and promotional purposes.

*The Brews Application is recycled from previous years. Ignore the 2021 date, it’s still relevant for 2023.
